Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years, I’ve found most people ask the same handful of questions when it comes to websites. Instead of making you dig for answers (or call me at 9pm 🤭), I’ve laid them out here.

I don’t currently offer SEO as a service, but because it played such a big role in my journey, I’ve included insights where they matter. My goal is simple: take the overwhelm out of the process and help you feel confident moving forward.

What To Expect

I know reaching out about a website can feel overwhelming — especially if it’s your first time. That’s why I keep things simple and straightforward. No pressure, no jargon, no hidden upsells. Just an honest conversation about your goals and what it will take to get you there.

Here’s how it usually goes:

  1. The First Call – We’ll talk through what you need, what you’re hoping for, and any concerns you might have. My job is to listen first, then offer solutions.
  2. The Next Step – If we’re both confident it’s a good fit, I’ll gather details about your business and your goals so I can start shaping the framework of your site.
  3. Getting Started – Once an agreement is reached, 50% is due to begin the work, with the balance due at completion. Most websites are delivered within two weeks of receiving content and images.

My only goal is this: earn an honest living while helping others succeed. If that sounds good to you, then we’re already off to the right start.

1

Do I Really Need A Website?

Yes — even if your business does well on social media, a website adds credibility. Think of it as your “home base” online. Social platforms can change overnight, but your website is yours. It’s where customers can find your story, your services, and a professional presence that sets you apart.

2

Are These Websites Truly Custom?

Absolutely. Every site I build is tailored to you and your brand. I don’t use cookie-cutter templates or “one-size-fits-all” setups. Instead, your website is built piece by piece using WordPress — with your voice, your colors, and your vision reflected at every step.

3

Will I Be Able To Make Changes Going Forward?

Yes! I always show my customers how to log in and make updates themselves. Most people are surprised by how simple it is once they’ve been shown. And if you’d rather not mess with it? I’m always available to help keep things updated.

4

Do You Manage Social Media Marketing?

No — and here’s why: authenticity matters. The best person to post for your business is someone already inside it. People can tell the difference between genuine updates and outsourced “filler content.” My advice? Pick a trusted employee or partner to share what’s real — wins, updates, even behind-the-scenes moments. That’s what builds connection and trust online.

How Can A Negative Review Be Beneficial?

Believe it or not, negative reviews can actually help you. When you respond thoughtfully, you’re showing both customers and Google that you care. A professional, keyword-rich response not only rebuilds trust with the unhappy customer, it also boosts your visibility online.
Simple rule: Own it, apologize, and show what you’ve learned. People respect honesty more than perfection.
